Beautifying Batawa through Volunteer Efforts

Members of our Bata Condo Project Team recently participated in the Quinte Trash Bash–a community-wide spring clean up initiative. Each year, local residents, schools and businesses volunteer their time to pick up garbage and recyclables from roadsides, parks, paths and other public areas.

Over 1,000 people participated in this year’s multi-day event in support of Earth Day, fanning across Tyendinaga Township, Belleville, Quinte West and Prince Edward County to clean up their community.

The volume of waste collected has not been announced. Thanks to last year’s efforts, volunteers filled 8.5 large dumpsters and 24 recycling carts with trash and recyclables.
