Work has commenced to renovate the Nia Centre for the Arts, a Toronto-based not-for-profit organization that supports, showcases and promotes an appreciation of the arts. The new facility, scheduled to be completed in fall 2021, will be the first multi-disciplinary professional arts space dedicated to portraying art from the African diaspora in Canada.

After nearly 5 years in planning, the renovation and expansion will completely transform the existing 14,000 sqft 2-floor facility and provide the community with art exhibition spaces, a 160-seat performance theatre, co-working spaces, digital arts incubation studios, recording & visual arts studios and community workspaces.
