Island Clubhouse Renovation

Royal Canadian Yacht Club

Sector:

Hospitality & Private Clubs

Expertise:

Alterations & Carpentry, Painting, Windows/Doors, Millwork

Project Details:

Dalton Works enhanced several areas at two clubhouses operated by Royal Canadian Yacht Club in Toronto. At RCYC’s City Clubhouse, our team helped revitalize exterior elements of the building, including improvements to windows and the wrought-iron fence surroundings the property.

Inside, our team repaired and repainted walls in the lounge, pool area and entrance hall, and carpet was also replaced in several areas. Tiling improvements were made in the Club’s indoor pool and adjoining locker rooms. Upgrades at the Island Clubhouse included new outdoor railings and the construction of a small bridge and gate.

Construction took place while the Club operated, necessitating careful coordination with club staff to mitigate disruptions and inconveniences to members. Additionally, the Island clubhouse is only accessible by boat, so all team members, equipment and materials had to be transported by ferry or barge, requiring vigilant scheduling and logistics planning.
