Cargojet

Flight Simulator Expansion

Dalton transformed Hamilton Airport’s West hangar for Cargojet, creating a much-needed training facility for two CAE Full-Flight Simulators. The project included the construction of a new mezzanine, specialized concrete pads, and upgraded mechanical and electrical systems to support advanced aviation training equipment.

This is an example of a successful design-assist experience where postpandemic supply-chain delays impacted the delivery of critical equipment. To minimize disruption to a fasttracked schedule, our sub-trade mechanical and electrical partners worked effectively to procure alternative
equipment to meet a demanding completion timeline. When even the alternative equipment fell short, Dalton collaborated with the design team and installed temporary equipment to facilitate occupancy and operation of the facility until the official equipment was installed later.
