This $18.6 million project added 44,000 sq. ft. of new space and renovated 15,000 sq. ft. of existing space, focusing on three major program elements: Innovation, Leadership, and Performance. The School now features a ‘black box’ drama room, theatre, and two-storey Music Hall. The new theatre features a large centre stage, as well as an impressive gallery-level stage that can be lifted to a full storey or hidden away below ground. Additionally, a new link was created between the existing building and the new Centre, the central courtyard, the outdoor performance amphitheatre, and new offices. Renovations to the School included the new Cole Hall Entrance, Dining Hall, Auditorium, and various support spaces, including a new Reception Lobby, Offices, and Improved Accessibility systems and designs throughout.

The building has been designed to target LEED Silver and, as such, incorporates numerous sustainable design initiatives. These include energy-efficient mechanical and electrical systems, stormwater recycling for irrigation, and the incorporation of solar panels and reflective roof membranes.
