Originally built in 1909, The Cathedral Church of St. James Parish House required extensive restoration, as well as the addition of new, modern spaces that reflected the evolving needs of the Church. Acting as Construction Manager, our project team carefully restored the existing historical masonry facade of the building and led the construction of a new, three-storey addition totalling 34,000 square feet known as the St. James Cathedral Centre Event Venue. The new spaces are comprised of office space, archive, housing, meeting rooms and a kitchen–all with barrier free access. The project received a Toronto Urban Design Award of Excellence.
