Dalton was engaged on this adaptive reuse project to lead the conversion of a former public school–originally built in 1914–into a neighbourhood cultural hub for innovation and creative collaboration. At 75,000 square feet, Artscape Youngplace is now the largest cultural institution in the Queen West neighbourhood. It contains five streams of activity: studios, learning labs, galleries, social spaces and creation labs. Artscape Youngplace was given an honourable mention for the Heritage Toronto Award.
