Building Joy for the Holidays at Venvi Leaside Retirement Living

Our team recently invited a group of residents at Venvi Leaside Retirement Living to get into the spirit of the holidays by participating in a gingerbread house making event at their facility located in East York.

Independent living care residents worked in small groups to decorate gingerbread houses with a colourful assortment of festive confectionary.

Members of Dalton’s project team took a break from their duties leading construction activities on-site to lend a head at the event… not to mention sneak a few of the holiday treats on hand.

We coordinated with Venvi Leaside’s Active Living Team to host the event, which also gave residents the opportunity to commemorate their creativity and teamwork in team photos.

Assisted Living and Memory Care residents also had the opportunity to decorate gingerbread houses in separate events. All the creations were judged by members of Venvi Leaside’s senior team in a contest to win prizes, and, perhaps most importantly, bragging rights.

Dalton is currently performing interior and exterior renovations throughout Venvi Leaside’s facilities located across two buildings. This includes improvements to lounges, eating areas and corridors, upgrading the facility’s entire mechanical system, and refurbishing elements of the building’s exterior.
