Open House Gives Summit Golf Club Members A New Perspective

Members of Summit Golf Club recently had a chance to pull back the curtain and learn about the construction progress taking place at their clubhouse, which is undergoing one of its most significant renovations since opening in 1920.

The Club and Dalton worked together to stage an event that featured an information session, site tour and cocktail reception.

To kick things off, members gathered in The Club’s temporary outdoor dining and food service facilities—established while renovations and a new addition are completed—and listened to remarks from Summit’s President, Rob Durham, General Manager, Chris Neale, and Dalton’s CEO, Andrew Dalton.

Following their remarks, club members were invited to tour select areas of the construction site for a first-hand look at the ongoing renovations that are well underway involving the dining area, women's locker rooms, common areas and administration spaces.

Looking outside through a new bank of windows, members got a closer view of the addition that will house a new commercial kitchen and the reinstatement of the men’s locker room.

Renderings of the future spaces were strategically placed in different areas, allowing members to visualize how their new clubhouse will look once our team is finished renovating the historic facility.

Judging by the breadth of questions and nature of many comments, it was clear that the members in attendance gained a greater appreciation for the complexity of the assignment and the challenges that our team has been required to overcome.
