Dalton Honoured With Outstanding Safety Performance

Dalton has earned an Ontario General Contractors Association (OGCA) Safety Achievement Award based on our sterling safety performance in 2017.

Last year, our project teams maintained Zero Lost Time Injuries with 33,748 derived hours worked.

Dalton will formally receive the award at a presentation during OGCA’s Safety Day, which takes place on Oct. 28 2018.

Throughout our 78-year history, Dalton has demonstrated an exemplary safety track record. For example, we received a Zero Injury Frequency certificate of achievement from the OGCA for the period of time spanning 2002-2012.

In addition to the work diligently carried out by our site staff to ensure adherence to our Health & Safety Policy and the rules and regulations established by the Ministry of Labour, Dalton retains the services of Safety Consultant Rob Partington of Corporate Safety Management. With over 45 years of construction safety experience, Rob is registered as a Canadian Registered Safety Professional (CRSP) and is a member of the Construction Safety Association.

With over 45 years of experience, Rob Partington serves as Dalton's Safety Consultant.

Founded over 75 years ago, the OGCA has been a trailblazer and promoter of health and safety in the construction industry in Ontario. The organization founded the Construction Safety Association and also acted as a key proponent along with the Infrastructure Health and Safety Association to establish the Certificate of Recognition program in the province.
