The Value of Communication at Venvi Don Mills Seniors’ Apartments

We recently wrapped up interior renovations at 1057 Don Mills Rd. at the Venvi Don Mills Senior’s Apartments for our client Cogir Living. The refresh of interior spaces included a reimagined front entrance and lounge; updates to laundry rooms, a fitness room, a kitchenette and common area for residents; and new floors, wallpaper, and paint in hallways and vestibules.

Providing constant, timely updates to residents and staff throughout the construction period was a key responsibility for our project team. This effort included a construction progress update at monthly Townhall Meetings from Dalton Site Manager Trevor Nelson.

These updates were an opportunity for Trevor to keep residents apprised of upcoming work and areas that would be temporarily inaccessible while work was underway, so residents could understand how their daily routines would be affected and adjust their plans and expectations accordingly.

With ongoing projects at two other Cogir residences, our project teams continue to place a high value on constant communication, which helps mitigate the impact of construction on the people who live and work in retirement buildings.
